JIM SELKIRK

Jim Selkirk is a New Baltimore based singer, songwriter, and guitarist. His playing is inspired by Tony Rice, Doc Watson, and Norman Blake. Jim has been a member of the local bluegrass group The Hilltown Ramblers for over 20 years. The Ramblers play local events, festivals, and private engagements and have one CD titled It's About Time. Jim was born and raised is Selkirk, NY and has lived in New Baltimore since 1988.

JANET KASH

Janet Kennedy Kash is a 30 year state government and politics professional, and a very proud “cat lady” who has dedicated almost 15 years to animal rescue in the Capital Region. Occasionally, she has provided backing vocals to bands, including Al Kash’s “Mare’s Nest,” and has also sung on a few local CD projects. In recent years, Janet has retired from her (non-existent) performing career at the top of her fame, but can occasionally be lured out to sing a few rocking tunes before going back underground to contemplate the state of the world.   

Brian Melick has been professionally involved in music for over 30 years starting his career at the age of 14. 

As a recording artist he has been featured on over 400 releases for independent and major labels.  He has four releases under his own name “Percussive Voices”, “uduboy”, “Diverse Elements” and “In Motion”. His music continues to find much commercial success internationally as well as with major networks and motion picture organizations such as Discover Channel, The Learning Channel, Disney, Columbia Pictures, NBC to name a few.

AL KASH

 Al Kash has established himself in the music scene in this country and Australia. He has toured with and backed a myriad of artists from Australian slide guitarist David Hole, Savoy Brown, New York's own Ernie Williams and the Wildcats, and Bo Diddley just to name a few. He is celebrating the release of his newest album “Spectrum Bateria.”

Curragh is a traditional Irish music group founded in 1995 and based in the Capital Region of New York State. Named after the ancient skin boat used along the west coast of Ireland, the sextrt brings a warm and friendly house party vibe wherever they play. Playing lively jigs and reels, jaunty hornpipes and barndances and much more on fiddles concertinas, banjos, bouzouki and uillean pipes, graced by the occasional song, the band will make you feel like you're having a pint with friends in a traditional pub in a small country village in Ireland!

Dusk Till Dawn

 This year we will be joined by the country band Dusk Till Dawn who have individually been performing musicians for 30 plus years. The band has been gigging together for 10+ years. We are honored to have them with us! The players- from L to R are:

Thomasina Winslow is an internationally known acoustic Blues singer/ guitarist. She has traveled to England,Germany,Ireland and Australia. Lighting up the stage while dazzling her audiences with her rich warm vocals. She will be releasing a new album this year called "Return" the pre-release will be available at the festival this year. She is a Nominee for the Eddies Award 2019 Blues Artist of the Year.

Nathan Hutchinson

Nathan Hutchinson grew up in Scotia-Glenville and was surrounded with musical influences from early on. As the child and godson of musicians, Nathan was lead to perform after watching many other artists and his own family throughout his life. After obtaining a human services degree and starting a family of his own, Nathan has reconnected with his musical origins and will be playing guitar in his first festival appearance.

Jeff Britton

Jeff Britton is a self-taught bassist who comes from a large family of musicians. He is currently a member of the band Playin’ With Fire, along with drummer Al Kash. Jeff first began his career as the band’s sound technician and has since been the bass player for over seven years. He can be heard playing his Fender Jazz Bass on Playin’ With Fire Band’s newly released album “Closer Than We Know.”
